Open Air Market
Every Saturday, from April through December, Shaker Square buzzes with activity as the open air farmer’s market is held in the center of the square.
The market is named for the North Union Shakers (1822 – 1889) whose land became the major part of the Shaker Heights we know today. The Open Air Market made its debut in 1995.
Opening day features local live music and our Chef at the Market, who prepares delicious breakfast samples. Local farmers unveil their fresh grown produce, bakers present delicious artisan breads and pastries, and for the “cooking-challenged” prepared foods created locally with an international flair. Fine artists and craftsmen round out the festive market Clevelanders have grown to love! The Spring Flower Market of acclimatized plants grown in Ohio and ready to adapt to your garden will be waiting for you.
